Chairman: Dr. Gordon Baty
A cofounder and Managing Partner of Zero Stage Capital,
Dr. Baty has more than 30 years operating experience in the formation,
financing, operation, and merger and acquisition of new companies. Dr.
Baty worked for Draper Laboratory from 1962 - 1964. He then founded and
became the Chief Executive Officer of Icon Corporation. He subsequently
founded both Context Corporation and Wormser Engineering, Inc. Dr. Baty
is a Director of nine private companies.
Most recently, he has worked with Mercury Computer
Systems, Novitron International, Cognex Corporation, and Ibis Technology,
all of which have had successful public offerings.
An accomplished writer and speaker on the subject of
venture formation, Dr. Baty has published Entrepreneurship for the Nineties
(Prentice-Hall, 1990), a practical guide for entrepreneurs seeking to
build successful venture companies.
Dr. Baty earned three degrees from MIT: an S.B. and
an S.M. in Industrial Management and a Ph.D. in Finance. For several years
he taught entrepreneurial management at MIT's Sloan School of Management.
He is a founder of the MIT Enterprise Forum.
Dr. George Ashur
With over 20 years of senior investment analysis experience
at Fortis Investments, Fleet Bank , Wellington Management Company, LLP,
Chase Securities, Paine Webber, Scudder, Stevens & Clark and other
firms, Dr. Ashur brings a wealth of knowledge with respect to securities
investment. He has founded and was the CEO of a startup company which
developed specialized IT services for the health care industry.
Dr. Ashur holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Harvard
University and a B.A. From College of the Holy Cross in Biology and History.
He was a Harvard University Fulbright-Hayes Scholar. He serves on the
Board of Directors of four companies.

Dr. John Kreick
Dr. Kreick has over 30 years experience in the development
of advanced electronic systems. He served from 1988 to 1998 as the President
of Sanders (later Lockheed Sanders). During his career at Sanders, Dr.
Kreick was responsible for a wide variety of electronic systems and their
successful transition to both military and commercial applications.
Dr. Kreick holds Ph.D., M.S. and B.S. degrees from
the University of Michigan in Theoretical Physics. He serves as Chairman
of the Board of the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, and is on the Board
of Directors or Board of Trustees for seven organizations and has served
on numerous national advisory committees and councils.
Dr. Bradford Parkinson
Dr. Parkinson has over 35 years experience in the management
of technology. As an Air Force officer, he was the Program Director for
the Global Positioning System Program during the key phases of the system
development. Since retiring from the Air Force, Dr. Parkinson has held
a variety of positions in industry and academia. He has served as a Vice
President of the Space Systems Group at Rockwell International and as
the President and CEO of Trimble Navigation. He currently serves as the
Board Chairman of The Aerospace Corporation. He also has startup company
experience at Intermetrics, Inc. He has been a professor at Colorado State
University and is now a Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford
University.
Dr. Parkinson has served on a plethora of advisory
panels and committees for the government and currently serves on the Boards
of Directors of four companies. He serves as the Board Chairman of The
Aerospace Corporation. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University in Aeronautics
and Astronautics, an MS degree from MIT and a BS from the U.S. Naval Academy.
Jerome Schaufeld
Mr. Schaufeld was formerly Executive Vice President
of the Slater Fund, Rhode Island's state venture fund. He has a wealth
of experience in entrepreneurship, operations and general management of
technology-based companies. Previously, he served as the President and
CEO of Mass Ventures, a western Massachusetts venture development company,
and he was the founder of Incus Group, a CEO-based business acquisition
organization. He also was co-founder of Phoenix Controls Corporation which
pioneered the manufacturing of air flow systems in critical laboratory
and hospital environments. Phoenix was recently sold to a Fortune 500
company. Prior to that, he held senior functional responsibilities at
a series of technology-based manufacturing companies.
Jerry was founder and first Chairman of the MIT Enterprise
Forum in Cambridge, Massachusetts and serves on numerous boards of technology-based
companies and several non-profit organizations, including the National
Association of Corporate Directors and the Association for Corporate Growth.
He has a BSME from New Jersey Institute of Technology, an MBA from Northeastern
and attended MIT Sloan School of Management.
Vincent Vitto
Mr. Vincent Vitto has over 30 years experience in the
development of technology. . Since 1997 he has served as President and
CEO of The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc. Previously, he worked
for 32 years at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory.
His technical specialty is advanced communications systems and satellite
systems. As head of the Communications Directorate at Lincoln, he oversaw
the development of the pioneering work in optical switching and networking
that created several spinoff companies whose current market capitalization
currently exceeds $50B. During his career at Lincoln he served in a variety
of technical and management roles prior to becoming an Assistant Director
of the Laboratory in 1995.
Mr. Vitto is the Chairman of the Naval Studies Board
and is a member of the Defense Science Board. He has served on numerous
other government advisory boards and panels. He is on the Boards of Directors
or Trustees of four companies. He holds MS and BS degrees in Physics from
Northeastern University and The Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn respectively.
