Managing Director and CEO: Alain Hanover
Mr. Hanover has over 30 years of experience in venture
capital, executive management, software development, and engineering.
He has served as CEO for over 15 years at InCert and Viewlogic, as well
as being an early stage investor or advisor in over 20 private companies.
He also co-founded CommonAngels, Boston's leading Angel Investor group.
Most recently, he served as Managing Partner of Main
Street Partners, a seed-stage, venture capital firm, where he helped launch
five start-ups: IPVision, SemiDAQ, Bitpipe, ShieldIP and Saoirse. Previously,
he co-founded InCert Software Corporation and led the company as President
and CEO from 1997-2000. In 1984 Hanover co-founded and served as President,
CEO, and Chairman of Viewlogic Systems, Inc., an electronic design automation
software company, took it public in 1991, and grew it to $150M in sales
when it was sold to Synopsys in 1997. He was awarded the Entrepreneur
of the Year Award in 1993.
In the early 80's, Hanover managed VLSI Advanced Development
for Digital Equipment Corporation. Hanover began his professional career
in the 70's as an early employee at the start-up Xylogics, later acquired
by Dymo Graphics and subsequently by Itek. He spent one year prior to
that as a technical staff member of MIT's Lincoln Laboratory.
He currently serves on several corporate and non-profit
boards of directors, including Actuality Systems, Inc.; FQS International,
Inc.; Sionex Corporation; Tizor Systems, Inc.; HistoRx, Inc.; RenalWorks
Medical Corporation; Applix, Inc. of Westborough; the MIT Venture Mentoring
Service, and the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative.
Hanover holds B.S. degrees in electrical engineering
and mathematics from MIT; an M.S. in applied math from Harvard University;
and an OPM program degree from the Harvard Business School.

Managing Director: Rana K. Gupta
Mr. Gupta has been in technology-driven business development,
sales and marketing roles since 1988. He has started two companies and
worked in three start-up operations, two of which were international (India
and China). For all of the start-up scenarios, Mr. Gupta either governed
or played a key role in the management.
Most recently, he was Product Manager for Global Services
with yet2.com, a B2B marketplace for technology transfer.
Previously, Mr. Gupta founded his own business development
company, IndoSine U.S. Link, Ltd., whose charter was to assist clients
expand their business by finding customers, markets and technology in
India, China and the U.S. Under IndoSine, he co-founded a wireless software
company, International Solutions, in which he acted as VP of Sales and
Marketing. IndoSine also consulted for several start-up companies, and
conducted due diligence for clients wishing to enter new markets.
He was also Manager, PRC Investment Strategy for Zeneca
Pharmaceuticals, in Beijing, China. Before joining Zeneca he was with
Arthur D. Little, Inc. where he sold or consulted in numerous projects
involving new technologies’ entry strategies including market and
competitive profiling. Exemplary projects included the pharmaceutical,
energy, electronics and pollution control industries. Also, while with
Arthur D. Little, Mr. Gupta was part of the start-up team for the Bangalore,
India office.
Mr. Gupta currently serves on the boards of FQS International,
Inc; PLEJ, Inc.; Polnox Corporation; HistoRx, Inc.; Assertive Design;
and Renalworks Medical Corporation.
Mr. Gupta holds a BA in Mathematics from Earlham College,
an MS in Operations Research from Stanford University and a MBA in Finance
and International Business from New York University’s Stern School
of Business.

Venture Manager: James V. Harrison
Mr. Harrison is a Venture Manager at NTV. He assists the Managing Directors
in portfolio management and in assessing new investment opportunities.
Beginning with the Apollo Program, he served in increasingly responsible
positions at Draper Laboratory over his 35 year career, including Associate
Director of Decision and Control Systems, Director of R&D for 10 years,
and most recently Principal Director of New Business Development and Strategic
Planning. He is on the Boards of portfolio companies: FQS, Inc and Polnox,
Inc. and works closely with those companies on business development opportunities
on behalf of the Managing Directors.
